Click It or Ticket

You may have noticed the roadside notices while traveling in or around Albany reminding you to buckle up.  Apparently this is part of a nationwide campaign by the U.S. Department of Transportation and will be running until June 6th. A lot of money has been poured into this program and over 10,000 local police agencies are involved.  During this time you can bet New York State highway troopers and local officers will be paying extra close attention to your driving habits.  Remember to always buckle up your seat belt while driving to avoid that troublesome ticket.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has statistics saying that on any given day, 38 people are killed in a car wreck because they were not wearing their seat belt.  If you do end up with a ticket for no seat belt or any other traffic violation and need an Albany traffic lawyer, call our office at (518) 465-2211.

Stats and other information on the campaign can be found at the NHTSA website.
